Soundside Wellness Consultants, located at 205 Shell Avenue in Fort Walton Beach, is pleased to announce Dr. Lourdes Quiray has joined SWC. Dr. Quiray is currently accepting new patients. Dr. Quiray is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as a child/adolescent psychiatrist.

Dr. Quiray uses her knowledge of biological, psychological and social factors in working with patients and completes a comprehensive diagnostic examination with attention to physical, genetic, developmental, emotional, cognitive, education, family, peer, and social components. She then works with the patient, the family, and others involved with the patient to create a treatment plan to address the needs of the patient.

The pediatric/adolescent psychiatrist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of thinking, feeling, and or behavior affecting children, adolescents and their families. A board certified psychiatrist requires 4 years of medical school; 3 years of approved residency training in medicine, neurology, and general psychiatry with adults; and 2 additional years of specialized training in psychiatric work with children, adolescents, and their families in an accredited residency in child/adolescent psychiatry.
